Community Gardens is a data-driven generative art installation.
Concepted and engineered by lucastswick , the installation challenges the stigmas and biases around homelessness.
Using threejs and running inside a browser, it is responsive to any display size, from 20' wide displays down to a mobile device.
I really started to understand the representations of the data by just looking at the gardens. It's really an experience; our community is so diverse in its successes and its disparity. It really hit home in the GPA gardens because you see a good range of people denoting that everyone can do it, but that high GPA is also experienced through lack of resources, different types of outside pressures, anxiety etc.
Choose a garden to visit, learn more about how the data affects each individual plant, or commit to making a change.
